Davidoff is a get-to-the-point kind of guy.  His bio certainly bears
thar out: "Dov Davidoff grew up in a junkyard.  He lost his virginity
at the age of 12 with a prostitute in Mexico.  He has since been seen
on stage, film and television." I mean, really.  Any more info would be excessive, wouldn't it?  This weekend, Davidoff stops by the Stress Factory comedy club in New Brunswick.  But let's get to the point...

KAZ!:  Dov, how would you best describe your style of comedy?

DAVIDOFF:  Whatever I find funny. I try to avoid going for light observational stuff.  Ideally it should involve truth.

KAZ!:  At what age did you realize you were funny?

DAVIDOFF:  I don't remember a specific age, but i think it was always there on some level.
 
KAZ!:  What is the worst ever comedy club restroom you've had to endure?

DAVIDOFF:  I don't know, but if you're going to bring a girl in there make sure the lock works.
 
KAZ!:  You've worked with Mark Wahlberg in the movie, "Invincible."  Was that like, a totally awesome experience?

DAVIDOFF:  It was a positive experience.
 
KAZ!:  What is the absolute worst gig you ever had?


DAVIDOFF:  Worst gig?  Some j*****f producer wouldn't air my set on a
talk show I did a couple years ago.   It must have actually been funny.
 
KAZ!:  What is the absolute best gig you ever had?

DAVIDOFF:  First time I did HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival was fun.
 
KAZ!:  At what point in your life did you think to yourself, "Hey! I can make a living doing this?"

DAVIDOFF:  I still haven't admitted that to myself.
 
KAZ!:  What's the last thing that passes through your mind before you go on stage?

DAVIDOFF:  Nothing specific.  I find the stage pretty relaxing.
 

KAZ!:  Do people always expect you to be funny, even at moments when
you are not supposed to be funny, like when you're on line at the bank?

DAVIDOFF:  Sometimes, but they're going to get disappointed real fast.

KAZ!:  You have a brand new CD just released.  Tell my why I absolutely need to own it.

DAVIDOFF:  'Cuz it's f****n' funny!

KAZ!:  When you are an off-duty comedian, do you have a normal life?

DAVIDOFF:  What's normal?  I don't think my life has ever felt what I think that means.
 
KAZ!:  What advice do you have for an aspiring young comedian?

DAVIDOFF:  Find your own voice.

KAZ!:  How excited are you that you are playing in New Brunswick, New Jersey?

DAVIDOFF:  Excited to be back in Jersey for a little.
 
KAZ!:  What's next for Dov Davidoff ?

DAVIDOFF:  I'm searching for piece of mind.
 
KAZ!:  Anything you'd like to add?

DAVIDOFF:  No.
