It's still Buddy Holly Week!
Should you ever need to explain The Generation Gap to anyone, simply direct them to this clip.

One week is not enough. Keep those clips comin'. Buddy Holly Month, perhaps?
@doahsdeer - Yeah man. Beats writin'.
More like this one, Edmund! And hey. I loved Dino, but you can leave me alone with Keith Richards any old time!
@doahsdeer - @FifiOToole - Where'd everyone go? I think they all defected to Facebook.
@Ed_Kaz - Maybe they'll come back if you change the title of the post. Something like, Buddy Holly Sex Tape
You sound lonely today Edmund. Perhaps we can help.
that was cute. I didn't know that was Buddy Holly's song -Not fade away.
George Harrison really liked Buddy Holly before the Beatles became a band. He came to the u.s. and stayed with his sister one summer -his older sister was married and lived in the midwest.
@jillcarmel - He stayed at my place in the eighties.
no, no, he stayed at his sister's in the early 60's -I'm not kidding and that is how George got to hear Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly and stuff.
Ok, now that's more like it! Hoorah!
^^^^^a little USMC lingo there.
@deadromaniansocialclub - I think I'm in love
@jillcarmel - I'm not kidding. I had an apartment in the city and George used to visit next door and I had him over several times.
@jillcarmel - I know everything there is to know about the Beatles (which is something not to be that proud of....perhaps I could have put that intellectual pursuit to something more productive) and I know all about George visiting his sister in the states. However, at that time he was already a Beatle. They were still unknown in the states. He even jammed with a local band. He already knew about all the American rockers by this time....Buddy Holly was fully fused into his DNA.
@Ed_Kaz - oh, alright. I'm sorry I ever doubted you. George seemed like a really down to earth fellow.
